Providing optimal oral health for our children today creates happy and healthy smiles that last a lifetime!

  1. Trauma:

Trauma to the permanent teeth frequently requires rapid assessment by the doctor. We may need to treat injured or knocked out permanent teeth as quickly as possible. Call the office phone number and page the doctor. Trauma to the baby teeth should be discussed with us as soon as possible. However, your child might not need to be seen until the following day.

  1. Fluoride:

Fluoride is a natural and unavoidable mineral in our world. The real question is: Are you getting too much or too little fluoride for optimal health? The simple answer is: Discuss this with us!

  1. Brushing basics:

We recommend brushing the infant’s or young child’s teeth while sitting on your bed. A dry tooth brush works well because there are no bubbles or spit to obstruct your vision. Place the child’s head into your lap and have their feet on the bed. Come into our office and we’ll show you how.

  1. Flossing:

Flossing is more important than brushing!!!! Well, not really, but let’s talk.
